Agelong Tree converter
Turn an Agelong Tree family tree into GEDCOM, the format genealogy services and programs import. The conversion runs in your browser, so your file never leaves your computer.
Reads Agelong Tree 5 and 6 (.at5) and Agelong Tree 4 (.at4) files.
How it works
Find your tree. Agelong Tree saves it as a file ending in .at5 (.at4 in version 4), usually with a folder of the same name ending in .files beside it.
Choose the file above. The converter reads it in your browser; nothing is sent to OpenHeritage.
Download the GEDCOM and import it into OpenHeritage, Gramps or another genealogy program.
What is converted
People with first names, patronymics, surnames and birth surnames; parents and children, marriages, divorces and adoptions; events with dates, including Julian ones, and places with their hierarchy and coordinates; photos and documents, sources, notes, clans and custom fields. Witnesses and godparents become associations.
Limitations
GEDCOM refers to photo files but does not contain them. Agelong Tree 3 files (.atd) have to be opened in Agelong Tree 5 or 6 first. Charts, filters and display settings are not part of the tree data and are not converted.
