Books of memory of the victims of the Holodomor of 1932–1933 in Ukraine, as published in digital form by the National Museum of the Holodomor-Genocide.
The core of the collection is the National Book of Memory of the Victims of the Holodomor of 1932–1933 in Ukraine, prepared for the 75th anniversary of the Holodomor at the request of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory. It consists of a consolidated all-Ukrainian volume and 18 regional volumes — one for each of the 17 oblasts struck by the Holodomor and one for the city of Kyiv — published mostly in 2008 (the second part of the Donetsk volume appeared in 2009). A second book of the Kharkiv volume followed in 2018 for the 85th anniversary.
The regional volumes contain martyrologies — lists of people who died of starvation, arranged by settlement and compiled from archival records (notably death registers) and eyewitness testimony — together with documents, recollections and photographs. The consolidated volume contains historical essays, documents, testimonies, a list of settlements affected by the Holodomor, a chronicle and a bibliography.
The collection also includes the People’s Book of Memory of the Victims of the Holodomor (edition of 8 February 2023), a list of victims by oblast compiled mostly from the testimony of relatives and eyewitnesses.
Where the museum published a volume as several files, each file is a separate document of the same book.
